This year’s harvest from Yandaro station in Burundi stands out in the cup, with delicate and alluring fruity flavors. It’s also an example of the power of committed, long-term sourcing relationships. Intelligentsia has partnered directly with producers at the Yandaro washing station for 8 years, as the station has continually increased coffee quality and the earnings of producers.

What makes this coffee special is the story of the Paredes family in Cutervo, who are absolute pioneers in the coffee region of Cajamarca, Peru. Unwavering in their commitment to quality, the family champions the cleanliness and complexity of great washed Peruvian coffees. Square Mile got exclusive access to this lot and thought it would shine in a Cometeer capsule, with its rich and jammy flavors. We agree!

With juicy, complex notes of tropical fruits, Peñaherrera is as extraordinary in flavor as it is in environmental impact. Awarded 95 points by Coffee Review in 2022, this Ecuadorian single origin is sourced from Finca Habitat Forest and Finca Obando. The latter in particular stands out for its regenerative agriculture practices, with a large proportion of the farm composed of biodiverse native forest. Enjoy!
