Meet Humongous Coffee: Big Beans, Bigger Flavor

Big-bean coffees with big personalities. That’s not just a tagline. That's the whole point.

At Cometeer, we have spent years dialing in every variable that shapes your cup, from processing to extraction. Now we are turning the spotlight onto something that rarely gets center stage: coffee varieties.

Humongous Coffee is our newest brand dedicated to coffees that think bigger. Beans of all shapes and sizes, rare and unique species, and flavors that refuse to stay quiet.

The Big Bean Theory

Most people know Arabica and Robusta — coffee’s equivalent of red versus white wine. But within Arabica, there are dozens of distinct varieties, similar to different wine grapes like Pinot Noir or Cabernet, each with its own personality.

Pacamara, Maragogipe, and Maracaturra are some of the most visually distinctive varieties because of their unusually large beans. Others are prized for their texture, sweetness, acidity, or structure in the cup.

Humongous exists to make those differences easier to taste and actually fun to explore.

Think of it like wine. You do not need to be a sommelier to know the difference between a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir. Coffee works the same way. Once you start noticing different varieties in your cup, everything clicks into place.

Coffee Spotlights

Little Big Shot
Playful natural-processed, peaberry expression from Minas Gerais, Brazil, with notes of chocolate, cherry, and brown sugar.

Big Red Train
A bold, big-bean profile that builds from deep sweetness into complex, fruit-forward intensity with serious presence.

No Big Deal
A bright washed single origin from Pichincha, Ecuador, roasted light by Humungous Coffee Co. Lime-like acidity leads the way, followed by juicy lychee and ripe tropical fruit.

Why Varieties Matter

Origin, roast, and processing all shape flavor, but variety is the foundation underneath it all.

Two coffees grown side by side can taste completely different if their genetics differ. One might be bright and citrusy. Another might be plush and chocolatey. A third might lean tropical or floral.

Humongous is an invitation to slow down and notice that.

Big Beans, Flash-frozen at Their Peak

Every Humongous coffee is brewed and flash-frozen using Cometeer’s proprietary process, which locks in flavor at its peak so nothing gets lost between roast and cup.

That means when you taste these coffees, you are getting the full expression of what makes them special, from their oversized beans to their distinct character.

Humongous is not about drinking more coffee. It is about tasting coffee with more intention.

Big beans. Bigger perspective. Check it out on our June Menu.
